Is the United States at war with Islam?
The answer is simple. No.
But, that’s not the whole answer.
Read carefully:
1- The White House is engaged in a fierce attempt at (further) global Imperialism. It is all about preserving our lifestyle and/or expanding the arenas of American business. Thus it is about control of some governments and, especially about control of the energy resources, whether they are in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iran, Baluchistan, etc..
2- There is one body of people that stands in its way. Muslims. It’s not because Muslims have gone out of their way to fight off imperialists. Rather, these energy resources happen to be in lands with large Muslim populations. Thus, the White House has chosen its theater of imperialism to be lands where Muslims live.
So, is the United States at war with Islam? No. But, it sure as heck has Muslims as an obstacle. And in its outlook, the ends justify the means. Thus, it will shed the blood of many, many Muslims. It is not killing Muslims just for the sake of killing Muslims. Rather, Muslim bodies are little more than collateral damage.
But, the issue goes further.
3- Any sane population will do what it takes to remove an occupier. We saw it in Vietnam. When Israel accused Hizbullah of kidnapping two soldiers, it immediately responded by attempting to obliterate Lebanon. So, should we be surprised if, when Muslim lands are occupied, that Muslims fight back? Heck no.
4- So, the Imperialist (likewise) will do what it takes to subdue that population. It will do whatever it takes. Human lives belonging to the occupied are absolutely meaningless. Human lives belonging to the Imperialist’s own soldiers are only of value if they serve the cause of the occupation.
So, is the United States at war with Islam? No. But, it will do whatever it takes to control “Islam.” It will give you a “moderate” Islam, which means that it will also give you a “radical” Islam. It will also make one Islam into two, and have them kill each other.
And, for those who are watching the whole theater, the Imperialists will do whatever it takes to make your spine shake with fear. Is there any purpose for the detainees at Guantanamo, but to scare Muslims into submission? Considering the way those poor, humble Muslims were rounded up, and considering the horrible treatment they are receiving, it should be a bit obvious that they aren’t terrorists. They are just being used to scare the hell out of anyone who opposes the White House.
