Another common trait among these Armchair Jihadists is that their outlook is typically based on conspiracy theories. From their perspective, the world is out to destroy Muslims. Now, we do find this same notion across the board. There are those who take the outlook that the world is out to destroy America. There are those who take the outlook that the world is out to destroy Israel. There are those who take the outlook that the world is out to destroy the values of the West. Likewise, there are those who take the view that America, Israel, the West, the Wahhabis, the Muslims, etc.. are out to conquer the world.

It follows then that there are Muslims — these Muslims — who take the view that the world is out to destroy Muslims.

The strange twist is that so many other conspiracy theorists regard 9/11 as part of a government conspiracy, yet of all the views and theories available about 9/11, these Armchair Jihadists regard the White House’s story of 9/11 as the true story.

But, their conspiracies do not end there. They go further. It is a necessary consequence that those who let conspiracy theories run wild (in their own minds) that eventually they believe that institutions and/or individuals are after them. They will soon assume that Federal authorities, and eventually friends (or shall we say, former friends), family members and others are also pulled into this conspiracy against them.
